Trans Youth Emergency Healthcare Fund Recent restrictions to access to gender-affirming care by the two largest pediatric providers in Connecticut means that families are left scrambling for care. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services is also issuing rules this month that will make care of youth even more out of reach for most.Fortunately, there are options for maintaining care for youth right now. Unfortunately, many families are going to have to pay out of pocket. Especially those whose care is covered by Medicaid.100% of the funds collected go directly to helping families of trans youth in need secure care right now.The Project is working on setting up a more permanent fund, but that is taking a bit of time because it requires legal and accounting expertise.
